Dhaka:  Admission seekers on Tuesday a staged demonstration demanding cancellation of the results of the admission tests of MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) claiming that question papers of the tests were leaked.

The demonstrators brought out a procession from Shaheed Minar that was marching towards Shahbagh at about 12:30pm.

They chanted slogans demanding immediate cancellation of the results of the admission tests of MBBS and BDS. 

Meanwhile, students of Dhaka Medical College, Salimullah Medical College and Mymensingh Medical College and private medical colleges—Ibn Sina Medical College and Holy Family Medical College—expressed solidarity with the demonstrating admission seekers.

Earlier in the morning, the protestors staged a sit-in at Shaheed Minar on the same demand.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jahid Malek announced the results of MBBS and BDS admissions with a pass rate of 58.4 per cent on 20 September.
