Three people were killed and nine others injured when a truck rammed a mini-truck in Karbala area in Baraigram upazila of Natore on Wednesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police said the Rangpur-bound mini-truck fell into a roadside ditch being hit by the potato-leaden truck after the trucker lost control over the steering, leaving 12 passengers of the mini-truck injured.

The injured were first rushed to a local clinic. Later, six of them were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Among the six injured, three people succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
