Mymensingh: An elderly couple was killed when a portion of a wall collapsed on them during rain at East Gobrakura of Haluaghat upazila in Mymensingh on early Wednesday.

The deceased are Manindra Mankin, in his nineties, and his wife Ramila Risil, in her eighties.

Haluaghat police sub-inspector Khokon Chandra Sarkar said the incident took place in the area at about 3:00am when both of them were sleeping in a room.

The couple went to the house of their daughter Diplai one week ago where the incident occurred.
