Dhaka: Seven people, including six members of a family, were burnt in a gas line explosion in Senpara area under Kafrul Police Station of Mirpur in Dhaka early on Sunday.

The injured are Amena Begum, her husband Sajib, father Delwar, mother Saleha, sister Fatema, bother Jahid, son Arman, and their neighbour Shah Alam.

The Kafrul police said a leaked gas line blasted at a tin-shed house in Senpara Parbat area at about 1:00am, leaving the six family members injured.

Their neighbour received burn injuries when he came to help them.

The injured were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
