Dhaka: An unidentified young man was killed when he was hit by a speedy train at the level crossing near Sainik Club of Banani in Dhaka on Sunday.

Kamalapur railway police sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam said the train crashed the young man draped in a lungi and a short-sleeved shirt at about 8:00am while he was crossing the rail tracks, leaving him dead on the spot.

The body was kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for

postmortem, he said.
