Mymensingh: A college student was allegedly killed by some miscreants at Durgapur village under Sadar upazila in Mymensingh on Tuesday night.

The victim is Hossain Ali, a student of Ananda Mohan College and son of Arab Ali of Konapara village of the upazila.

Quoting family and locals, Kotwali police officer-in-Charge M Kamrul Islam said some miscreants led by one Rubel beat up Ali and stabbed him to death over previous enmity.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue.

Police arrested Rubel's father Ainuddin for interrogation. After the incident Rubel went into hiding.

A case was filed in this connection.
