7kg gold bars seized

Satkhira: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 60 gold bars weighing 7kilograms from the border along Kathdanga village in Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira on Friday afternoon.
Satkhira BGB 38 acting commander Major Nazir Ahmed Bakshi said a team of BGB conducted a drive in a house of the village near the Kalaroa border at about 12.30pm and recovered 60 gold bars from the house.
The gold bars might have been kept there for smuggling those to India, he said.
A case will be filed in this connection, he added.
