‘Parasitic minister’ hampering unity prospect
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has accused two ministers of the government of hampering the environment of a ‘national unity’, which has been recently proposed the by this second largest party of the country.
The two ministers criticised by BNP are food minister Kamrul Islam and another one, whom BNP leader Asaduzzaman Ripon dubbed as ‘the parasitic minister’.
Ripon, however, did not mention who he was actually pointing his finger at by saying this.
He made the remark at a press briefing on Sunday at the party’s Naya Paltan central office in Dhaka.
Ripon, also the international affairs secretary of BNP central unit, claimed that those criticising the call for a national unity were actually conspiring to destabilize country’s peace.
Again when the issue of national unity is expected to be discussed and implemented by the top government policy makers, these two ministers are going against the current, alleged the BNP leader.
