Gazipur: A young man was crushed under the wheels of a train on Dhaka-Mymensingh Rail route in sadar upazila of Gazipur on Sunday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, but he is around 20 years old.

The accident took place when a train hit the man at Bhaoal Gazipur area, leaving him dead on the spot, said police.

Later, police went to the spot, recovered the body, at about 7:30am and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, added police.
