Gazipur: Four people, including a female sweater factory worker, were killed in three road accidents in the city and Sreepur and Kapasia upazilas of Gazipur on Friday.

Ahsan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kapasia Police Station, said a man and his grandson were killed when a covered van hit a motorcycle they were riding near Targaon Bridge in the upazila in the morning.

The deceased are Ali Akbar, and his grandson Hridoy.

The Naojor highway police said Fatema alias Fahima, a worker of Pashmi Sweater Factory, was killed when a speeding bus ran over her while she was going to her workplace in Chandana Bhogra area in the morning.

In another incident, a young man was killed when a human hauler knocked down his bicycle at Karnapur Bazar in Sreepur upazila at about 8:00am.

The deceased is Faizuddin Farazi, a resident of Rayed village in Kapasia upazila.
