Dhaka: A case was filed under Anti-Terrorism Act over the bomb blasts at Hosani Dalal in the Old Dhaka that killed one person and wounded nearly 100, as thousands gathered for the annual Ashura procession.

Sub-inspector (SI) Jalal Uddin filed the case with Chawk Bazar on Sunday.

Chawk Bazar police sub-inspector Anjan Sarker said the case was filed at about 8:30am against anonymous persons.

He said investigating officers for the case will be appointed soon.

A 16-year old boy was killed and around 100 people were injured in the bomb explosions at the Shia Muslim community’s headquarters, Huseni Dalan, in the old part of Dhaka city early Saturday.
