1 more Huseni Dalan blasts victim dies
Dhaka: One more name was added on Thursday morning to the list of those died in bomb explosions at Huseni Dalan in old Dhaka.
The deceased, Jamal Uddin, died while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said DMCH ICU chief Dr. Abdur Rahman.
Earlier, on 23 October, bombs blasted when members of Shia community gathered at Huseni Dalan premises at about 2:00am, barely half an hour before bringing out a traditional Tajia procession to mark the holy Ashura.
A teenage boy was killed and around 100 people were injured during the bombing. The injured are admitted to several hospitals in the capital city.
According to the witnesses, around 25 thousands people including children, women and elderly people were gathered there to join the Tajia procession.
On the tenth of Muharram, Muslims vent remorse over the martyrdom of Imam Hossain, the grandson of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), along with his family members and 72 followers in the hands of renegades over 1300 years ago.
