Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) detained 17 alleged members of a question paper leak gang from Tejgaon and Dholaikhal areas of Dhaka in the early hours of Saturday.

The arrestees are Mohammad Jobayer Hossain, Mohammad Saju Ahmed, Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan, Samiul Islam,

Sabbir Hossain, Hasanur Rashid, Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, Hridoy Islam, Rayhan Rabbi, Akash Ahammed, Mohammad Tanvir, Mohammad Sabuj Khan, Md Sohag, Mehedi Hasan, Akib Bin Bari, Mohammad Nahidul Haque and Mohammad

Manik Miah.

Police recovered some original certificates of SSC and HSC, transcripts, mobile phones, question paper of Dhaka University admission test and some other documents, a

Dhaka Metropolitan Police press release said.

In the primary investigation, the arrestees confessed that they take the original certificates and transcripts from the admission seekers on condition of returning those after getting the payment.
