4 killed in separate accidents in 4 districts

Dhaka: Four people including a woman were killed and 26 others injured in separate road accidents in four districts on Monday.
A woman was killed and 25 others were injured as a bus turned turtle in Hazir Bazaar area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway under Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh district at about 7:00am this morning.
The deceased is Pinky Akhter, 20, wife of Abdul Mutaleb, a resident of Pakhuria village under Gafargaon upazila of the district.
In another incident, a motorbike rider Mamun Mullah, 25, son of Awal Mullah died on the spot and another was injured at Champaknagar area under Araihajar upazila in Narayanganj district when the motorcycle, carrying the two, fell into a roadside ditch.
Yet in another accident taking place in Dokanghar area under Chandpur Sadar upazila one person died on the spot when two battery-run auto rickshaws collided head-on.
Sadar police officer-in-Charge Mamunur Rashid said the deceased was Monir Hossain, 26, son of Latif Sheikh, a resident of Ramdasdi area of the upazila.
Abdul Alim, 55, son of Abdul Barek, a resident of Dhanbandhi Mohalla in Sirajganj Pourasabha, was crushed under the wheels of a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Koddarmor area under Sirajganj Sadar upazila, said Sadar police officer-in-Charge Habibul Islam.
