Savar: An industrial police constable was killed and another was injured as some unidentified miscreants made a sudden attack on them and hacked them indiscriminately at Baraipara in Ashulia on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Mukul, a constable of Sripur police camp.

Ashulia Police officer in-charge Mohsinul Kadir said Mukul and Nur-E-Alam, another constable, were on duties at Baraipara.

Suddenly, two to three unidentified miscreants stormed into the spot and hacked the constables with sharp weapons, leaving them critically injured at about 8:00am, the OC added.

Later, the duo was taken to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared Mukul dead.
