Jhalakati: Police arrested the headmaster of a primary school for allegedly abusing a minor schoolgirl at Nagpara in Jhalakati Sadar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrestee is reportedly the headmaster of a government primary school in the town.

The victim’s father filed a case with Sadar Police Station in connection with the incident.

According to the case statement, the accused sexually abused a third grade student on Monday.

The student informed her family members about the matter.

Later, on Tuesday afternoon, when Nurul came to the school, the victim’s family along with local people caught him and handed him over to police.
