Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested seven suspected members of banned Islamist militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from different areas in Dhaka’s airport area on Friday night.

Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner Muntasirul Islam said a team of DB (North Division) of DMP arrested the seven suspected JMB members from different areas under Airport Police Station at night.

Details of the drive will be available at a press briefing later, added Muntasirul Islam.
