Baha'i leader injured in shooting

Rangpur: A leader of Baha’i faith was shot by miscreants in front of his residence at RK road in Rangpur city on Sunday morning.
Police said a group of around three miscreants riding on motorcycle shot Baha’i leader, Ruhul Amin, at about 8:00am.
Ruhul Amin, who is 50 years old, also the personal assistant of Rangpur Medical College Hospital’s director, was taken to the hospital immediately after receiving the bullet.
Police said a bullet hit the left side of his chest. Ruhul’s wife, Reba, who was also present during the incident, escaped injury.
The Rangpur Dhap police checkpoint in-charge said Ruhul Amin is undergoing a surgery at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
