Make BTV acceptable channel to all: JS body
Dhaka: A parliamentary subcommittee on Monday recommended that all necessary measures be taken to turn Bangladesh Television into an acceptable TV channel to all through making quality programmes.
It also suggested amending the recruitment process of the state-owned TV channel for increasing its manpower in order to smoothly run the programmes.
The suggestions came at the 3rd meeting of the subcommittee-2 of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Ministry held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its convener AKM Rahmatullah in the chair.
The parliamentary watchdog discussed problems relating to existing manpower, recruitment and promotion of BTV for its overall improvement.
It also recommended recruiting own correspondents for BTV at district level.
