Pabna: Police recovered two bodies, including that of a housewife, in Shujanagar and Atgharia upazilas of Pabna on Tuesday morning.

In Shujanagar, police recovered the body of Hanif Sheikh, 30, a day labourer and son of Badal Sheikh, a resident of Indrajitpur village.

Shujanagar police officer-in-charge Shakil Uddin said local people found Hanif’s body at a paddy field, two kilometers away of Bitvilla village. Police recovered the body at about 10:30am.

In Atgharia, police recovered the body of Shilpi Khatun, 28, wife of Ahad Ali, a resident of Banchamara village.

Local people found the body floating in a pond of the village and informed police, said Atgharia police officer-in-charge Faruk Ahmed.

Shilpi might have been strangulated to death over a family dispute and later kept in the pond, the OC added.
