4 Bangladeshis among 6 dead in Saudi fire

Dhaka: Six people, including four Bangladesh nationals, died in a fire that broke out at a furniture factory at Dallah Sanaya, Dammam city in Saudi Arabia on early Monday.
‘Yes, four of them are Bangladesh nationals while two are from India and Pakistan respectively,’ charge d’affaires at Bangladesh Embassy, Riyadh Mohammed Ayub told UNB.
He said the fire broke out at about 1:30am on Monday and officials from the Embassy visited the spot soon after the incident.
The victims were identified as Mir Rahman, son of Badiur Rahman, hailing from Daganbhuiyan, Feni, Abu Musa, father-in-law of factory owner Giasuddin, hailing from Comilla, Ziaur Rahman, son of Abul Kalam, hailing from Langolkot, Comilla and Abu Mollah, son of Lokman Mollah, hailing from Chandpur Sadar.
Responding to a question, Ayub said the officials are looking into the matter as there are certain formalities to send the bodies back home.
