Modi mourns Padma ferry capsize tragedy

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed sorrow at the loss of lives in the ferry accident in the Padma River on Sunday.

‘My prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident in Bangladesh,’ the office of the Indian Prime Minister tweeted.

The death toll from the Padma ferry capsize reached 69 with the recovery of more bodies on Monday morning.
