Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim has said ‘No third power will come in Bangladesh anymore. There is no scope for that. There will remain first power only.’

Selim made the statement during the parliamentary session on Monday.

Targeting BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, Selim said ‘Who have assured you to restore you in power after seizing power illegally? According to our constitution death sentence is the punishment for those who will grab power illegally and those who will be part of that power. So, there is no scope for taking over power illegally.’

Selim also said that ‘Ziaur Rahman, HM Ershad took over power. Though they were the beneficiaries of that power, general army soldiers did not gain anything....Moinuddin, Fakhruddin are hiding abroad. So army will never show courage to take over power.’
