Madaripur: Four people received burn injuries as gas a cylinder used for inflating balloons blasted at Majidbari village in Kalkini upazila on Sunday morning.

The injured are Siraj Sarker, Sumon Sarder, Humayun, and Aslam, all residents of the village, reports United News of Bangladesh.

The Kalkini police said the explosion took place at the village at about 8:00am, leaving four people, including Siraj critically, injured.

Siraj was taken to Barisal Sher-e Bangla Medical College Hospital while others took treatment at a local hospital.
