New autocrat seizes power: Khaleda Zia
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia has said that a new autocrat had seized the power. There is no democracy. Humanity is long dead. A government, which deprived people of their voting rights, has captured the state power. Not only democracy and human rights are in hazard, state security is also under threat, she added.
In a statement over the 39th death anniversary of Maolana Bhashani, Khaleda ZIa, said, ‘Bangladesh is facing the threat of aggressive forces. People of Bangladesh can find strength and courage in the way shown by Maolana Bhashani.’
She also prayed for salvation of the soul of the great leader.
Bhashani was the dreamer of freedom of Bangladesh and he led the country during national crisis, said the former prime minister.
She also urged the nationals to unite infusing with the ideals of Maolana Bhashani for the welfare of the nation.
