Faridpur: Executed war criminal Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed has been buried at Mawlana Abdul Ali Trust premises in Faridpur.

The body of the Jamaat secretary general was taken to the ground at about 6:35am. His namaj-e-janaza was held at about 7:15 am on Sunday.

Family members of Mojaheed, leaders and activists of district Jamaat-e-Islam, and administrative officials including Additional deputy commissioner Abdur Rashid and additional superintendent of police Mohammad Kamruzzaman attended the funeral prayer.

Earlier, the body of Mojaheed reached at his ancestral home at village of West Khabaspur in Faridpur with a tight security.

Jamaat leader Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed was executed at about 12:55am on Sunday in Dhaka central jail for his crimes against humanity during the War of Independence in 1971.
