Money Laundering Prevention (Amendment) Bill passed

Parliament: A bill titled 'Money Laundering Prevention (Amendment) Bill, 2015' was passed in the Parliament on Sunday aiming to include some government agencies apart from Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) as the investigation agency.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith moved the Bill in the House and it was passed by voice vote.
In the objective of the Bill, it was stated that police and National Board of Revenue (NBR) often face complexities while investigating 27 types of crimes stated in the Bill.
That's why the Bill included some other investigating agencies like Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Customs and Tax Department and Narcotics Control Department.
