Comilla: Two CNG-run auto rickshaw drivers were killed as their vehicles collided head-on near Pinaki Cinema Hall on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway under Chandina upazila of Comilla on Monday morning, reports BSS.

The deceased are Wahidul Islam, 36, son of Ahammad of Chhikot-Tulatoli village in Chandina upazila and Mukhlesur Rahman, 35, son of Abul Kasem, a resident of Bagur village under Debidar upazila of the district.

Eliotganj Highway police camp in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Masrurul Haque said the accident took place in the area when a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on with another auto rickshaw, leaving two drivers of the vehicles critically injured.

They were sent to Chandina Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
