Joypurhat: Two minor boys drowned in a pond at Baniapara village of Sadar upazila in Joypurhat on Friday noon.

The deceased is Ibrahim Hossain, 3, son of Anwar Hossain and Hamjala, 3, son of Shahinur Rahman of the village.

Sadar police officer-in-charge Farid Uddin said Ibrahim and Hamjala slipped into the pond while playing on the bank of it at noon and drowned.

Later, family members recovered their bodies from the pond.
