Barisal: A couple was found dead at their house at the Kaunia area in Barisal on Tuesday.

The deceased are Khaleque Dhali, 42, a mason, and his wife Mukul Begum, 26, of the area.

Getting no response from the couple, locals peeped through a hole of the fence at about 9:30am only to see Khaleque Dhali hanging from a ceiling fan.

On information, police entered the house breaking open the door and also found Mukul Begum lying dead on the bed.

Later, they recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue.

Police suspected that Khaleque Dhali stabbed his wife and strangulated her to death over family feud and then killed himself by hanging from the ceiling fan.

Both the bodies bore several injury marks, said police.
