BSF stabbed Bangladeshi on Putkhali border
Benapole: A Bangladeshi young man was stabbed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Putkhali border in Benapole on Wednesday night.
The victim is Kitab Ali, 27, is a cattle trader, also a resident of Uttarpara village of the bordering area.
Subeder Shamsur Rahman of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-23 Putkhali camp said BSF members from Angrail camp caught Kitab after a hot chase while a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders, including Kitab, were returning to the country along with cattle through the border at night.
Later, they stabbed Kitab indiscriminately and left leaving him injured critically.
Kitab’s associates got him admitted to a clinic in Jessore.
