Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed deep shock at the death of seven people and injury of many others in a terror attack at Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
In a condolence message sent to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi she said, ‘I am deeply shocked to learn about the dastardly terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims to Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir that killed several pilgrims, including women, and injured many others.’
‘On behalf of the Government and the people of Bangladesh, I would like to convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. We also pray for early recovery of the injured pilgrims,’ she said.
She mentioned that Bangladesh maintains ‘zero tolerance’ policy against terrorism and violent extremism in all forms and manifestations, and condemns such heinous acts.
