Cox’s Bazar: A local trader was shot to death by miscreants in Ashrayonpara of Khurushkul union at Sadar upazila in Cox’s Bazar on early Monday.

The deceased is Mohammad Afsar, 23, a grocery shop owner in the area, reports UNB, a local news agency.

Sadar police officer-in-charge Aslam Hossain said a group of miscreants attacked Afsar’s shop at about 2:30am and opened fire at him, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue.

‘He might have been killed over previous enmity,’ added the OC.
