Dhaka: Before going to the UK, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will sit with her party’s standing committee members on Thursday night.

The meeting will be held at the BNP chief’s Gulshan office around 9:00pm with Khaleda Zia in the chair, her media wing member Shairul Khan told UNB on Wednesday night.

The BNP spokesman said Khaleda called the meeting to provide some direction to the party members and advise them on

how to sustain the party activities in her absence.

The BNP Chairperson is going to the United Kingdom (UK) for nearly two months.

Khaleda is scheduled to leave Dhaka for London at 7:00pm on Saturday by an Emirates Airline flight.

She will receive eye treatment there and return home after celebrating the Eid-ul-Azha there with her family members, including her eldest son and party senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman, who has long been living there.
