Jessore: A Jessore Court on Thursday issued arrest warrants against six officials, including chairman and managing director, of a private TV channel SATV in a defamation case.

They are - Farida Parvin, chairman, Salauddin, managing director, Selina Akhter, deputy managing director and three directors Nure Alam Rubel, Shirin Akhter, Shamsul Alam of SATV.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Humayun Kabir passed the order after hearing of the case.

According to case statement, Anubrata Saha Mithun, former correspondent of SATV for Jessore, left his job on December 19 through proper way.

He also returned his identity card, logo, other documents and equipments.

Later on December 23, the SATV authority published an advertisement against him.

Following this, Anubrata filed a defamation case with the court on December 26.
