Dhaka: Bangladesh has denounced the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the banning of Friday prayer and imposition of other restrictions around Al Haram Al Sharif by the Israeli authorities.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, in a message to his Palestinian counterpart, has conveyed Bangladesh’s position, said the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The Foreign Minister also called upon the international community to revive the Middle East Peace process at the earliest and work towards a two-state solution.

Minister Ali also expressed deep sympathy to the victims.

In his message, the Foreign Minister reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment in realizing the inalienable rights of the brotherly people of Palestine for an independent homeland.
