Dhaka: The ruling Awami League on Monday submitted the audited report on its financial statement of 2016 calendar year to the Election Commission showing that the party’s annual income is about 1.82 crore higher than its expenditure.

An AL delegation, led by its Presidium Member Dr Abdur Razzak, handed over the report to Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huha around 10:30am.

According to the report, AL’s total revenue was 4,84,34,097 in 2016, while its expenditure was Tk 3,01,84,799.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Jasod (Inu) also placed its audited report on financial statement to the Election Commissioner on Monday.

According to the law, each registered political party is obliged to submit its financial statement of the previous calendar year by each July 31.
