BGB rescues 2 girls while being trafficked to India
Jessore: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members on Monday evening rescued two girls while they were being trafficked away from bordering Putkhali Pashchimpara area in Benapole to India.
The rescued girls are Khadiza Akter, around 15 years old, daughter of late Ainuddin and Beauty, around 13 years old, daughter of Manzil Hossain, from Kishoreganj.
Lieutenant Colonel Md Tarikul Hakim, commanding officer of BGB-21, said acting on a tip-off the BGB members conducted a raid in the village and rescued the two girls.
Later, they were handed over to Benapole Port Police, Tarikul added.
