Natore: The movement of buses on Natore-Bogra route remained suspended for the second consecutive day on Friday, causing sufferings to thousands of passengers.

District Bus Owners’ Association enforced the indefinite bus strike on Thursday in protest extortion of money from buses in Singra upazila of Natore.

Meanwhile, the owners of buses in northern region stopped plying their buses on the route, as leaders of Singra Motor Owners Association did not sit at the meeting arranged by Additional District Magistrate Razzakul Islam to settle the issue.

Sajedul Islam Sagar, general secretary of Natore Bus Owners’ Association, said the movement of buses on the Natore-Bogra route remained suspended from Wednesday night protesting extortion in Singra by the Motor Owners Association.
