Case filed over suicide bomb attack on Ahmadiyya mosque

Rajshahi: Police on Friday night filed a case against some unidentified people in connection with Friday’s suicide bomb attack on the Ahmadiyya mosque in Mochmoil area in Bagmara upazila of Rajshahi, says Baghmara police.
A suspected suicide bomber was killed and 8 others injured in the suicide bomb attack on Ahmadiyya mosque in Mochmoil area of Bagmara upazila on Friday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.
Police said the bomb suddenly went off when the attacker tried to free it from his waist in a bid to detonate it while devotees were offering their Juma prayers in the mosque of the Ahmadiyya community, leaving him dead on the spot.
Eight devotees were also injured in the incident.
Of them, critically injured—Moyez Uddin, Sayeb Ali, and 12-years-ols Nayan , son of Mukul Hossain of Syedpur area of the upazila—were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
