Dhaka: The workers of a garment factory on Monday blocked road at Mirpur 1 demanding payment of their dues.

Witnesses said when the workers of Meridian Fashions Ltd put barricade on the road around 10:40am police dispersed them, reports the UNB.

The agitated workers again blocked the road at 12 pm to press home their demand, halting vehicular movement between Mirpur 1 to 10 and Zoo Road.

The workers are also protested the retrenchment of some of their fellows by the factory authorities
