3 ‘JMB men’ held with arms, ammo
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) claimed they arrested three members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from different areas of the commercial capital of the country on early Sunday.
The arrestees are Nayon, Faisal, and Russel. They were taken to CMP headquarters.
Police claimed they seized one MK11 — a sniper rifle, bomb making substances, 190 bullets, 12 army jackets, 14 army trousers along with other stuffs from the arrestees.
CMP officials said police arrested Nayon from a raid in Kazir Deuri area of the city. Police, later, arrested the other two based on the information given by Nayon.
CMP Detective Branch Additional Deputy Commissioner Babul Akter said, ‘Based on the detainees statement, police raided a house in South Pahartali area of the city and seized arms, and ammunitions from the ground floor of the house.’
