A prisoner escaped from the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital early Wednesday.

DMCH police out-post in-charge Bachu Mia said Md Sujon, 26 fled from the 4th floor of the Burn Unit sometime at night, reports the UNB.

The authorities closed the two jail guards- Alamin and Sujon-after the incident, he said.

Hospital source said Sujon, who was arrested for possessing heroin, was admitted to the DMCH on August 22 for a problem on his leg.
