Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif has called BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to start counting days to be arrested and to take mental preparation to remain in jail for the rest of her life as arrest warrant has been issued against her.

Hanif made the call in the triennial conference of Meherpur Awami League on Saturday.

Targeting Khaleda, Hanif said ‘You cannot have the right to do politics after burning people to death. People of the country now think that you are politically dead.’

‘Now you have to pass rest of your life in prison taking the responsibility of these killings. Take mental preparation for that.’- Hanif added.
