Noakhali: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday assured that the Eid journey of the home-bound people will be easy and comfortable as the officials concerned are working day and night to renovate the damaged roads and highways before Eid.

‘Engineers and law enforcers will be on the highways even during heavy rains to ensure people’s safe journey. Like the previous Eid, home bound people will be able to reach their destinations comfortably,’ he said.

Seventy percent of damaged roads have been renovated so far and the rest of the work will be done before Eid, he said, adding that he is monitoring the work.

The Minister talked to reporters after distributing relief among the flood-hit people at Kabirhat municipality office premises in the morning.
