Netrakona: A motorcyclist and person riding pillion were killed while a third person on the bike was injured in a road accident at Hirakanda on Netrakona- Kalmakanda road in Kalmakanda upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the accident occurred when a speeding bus knocked down a motorcycle around 3:30pm, leaving its driver Awlad Hossain, about 30 years old, and pillion riders — Saiful Islam, about 35 years old, and Muslem Uddin, 55 — injured.

Later, the injured were taken to Kamlakanda Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared Awlad and Saiful dead, Officer-in-Charge of Kamlakanda Police Station AKM Mizanur Rahman.
