Dhaka: Detective police arrested five operatives of an organized gang of fraudsters from Dhaka’s Banosree area of Rampura on Sunday.

The arrestees are Khorshed, Abul Bashar, Arifur Rahman, Iqbal Hossain Apu,and Hamidur Rahman alias Tushar.

The criminals had long been involved in withdrawing money through hacking of different bank accounts using internet technology, an official release said today.

Earlier on 9 August, the fraudsters withdrew Taka 13, 50,000 using imonbkash.net, the release said adding that they had been using cloning technology and fake national identity cards to make bKash SIMs.

They recovered illegal SIMs of bKash, electronic modems and application software from their possessions.
