Dhaka: Manik and Ratan, two goats, were brought to Gabtali cattle market from Kushtia on Monday ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Manik and Ratan weighs total of 140kilogram, that means each 70kgs.

Ashir Uddin, owner of Manik and Ratan, demanded around Tk 2.5lakh for the duos.

However, sacrificial animals have been brought to Gabtali cattle market as Eid-ul-Azha is knocking at the door. Our reporter found two rams, Manik and Ratan, at the market. Though, the number of cows is more than goats.

Ashir Uddin, a resident of Kushtia, was waiting with his Manik and Ratan to be sold. He said, ‘I’m taking care of these goats for last four years. I brought them for Eid for the first time.’ Ashir said he will sell the goat in pair and for both of them he will take Tk 2.5lakh.
