Dhaka: A man was shot to death in Iqbal road area in city’s Shewrapara on Monday night.

The deceased is Anisur Rahman Anis, about 45 years old, a contractor, and a resident of Paschim Shewrapara.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Bachchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said that two miscreants opened fire on Anisur in front of a tea stall of the area around 10:00 pm, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries around 1:30 am on Tuesday.

He received bullets on his head, ear, backside and hand, added the sources.
