Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF

A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Barogram bordering area of Sadar upazila in Dinajpur on early Thursday.
The deceased is identified as Mohammad Nuruzzaman, believed to be 30, a resident of Barogram Chenpara village of the upazila.
Witnesses said BSF members from Elondari camp in South Dinajpur district of India opened fire on Nuruzzaman while he was entering the Indian territory at about 5:00am, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, he was taken to a local hospital in India where he succumbed to his injures at about 7:00am.
Commanding officer of Dinajpur Phulbari Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion 29 Lieutenant Colonel Korban Ali confirmed the incident.
